Case Study: Workshops, Training & Facilitation

Client:             NYMAS

Contacts:       Bradley Culmer

Sector:            Retail / E-Commerce

The Challenge

NYMAS is a family-operated specialist provider of design-led washroom accessories. The senior team created a vision for the future of the business to include being an Employer of Choice and had begun incorporating opportunities within the business to facilitate this.

Following the creation of an Employee Council, the desire for staff to complete training and development was raised as a priority as this had not been addressed previously. The NYMAS team approached TVCA who referred them on to Just Williams to develop and deliver a program of training to their business development teams.

  • Business market position and maximisation

  • Personal development through mentoring sessions, 1:1

Impact:

  • Helped identify pathways for future development training
  • Assisted in creating a culture of Continuous Improvement
  • Positioned the team to be more strategic

Client Feedback

“As a company based in Teesside we support what’s going on with investment and opportunities and supporting businesses to grow. Coming out of the pandemic we saw much larger firms drawing talent away with perks not seen as standard and we wanted to become an Employer of Choice.

The process was straightforward, and Jessica was easy to work with to create an agenda that covered a lot of business development topics over two days. We were new to training our staff, and we were very open-minded with what we were looking for. Now we can be more laser-focused. Business Development is a big department, with many facets – each is very different so [the training] was a good starting point. We saw the training as an investment and brought together staff from multiple locations so it was a great opportunity to improve teamwork, upskill and deliver some transfer of knowledge.

We created a series of actions from our training that we are currently implementing as a team”.

Learners from NYMAS were brought together for the first time to train as a team, were open-minded and were able to begin a broader piece of development within the business since completing the face-to-face sessions to map out the current and future training needs to help them become an employer of choice in the Tees Valley and to grow their business moving forward.
